French singer-songwriter Tom Connan first came into the limelight with his debut single, “You Didn’t Give Them A Chance”. The song which deals with the question of equality and all of its distasteful connotations, was picked by the press across Europe and the USA and went viral within a short period. This of course led to Connan coming up on the radars of talent agencies and music publishers. Eventually signed to the Copper Wolf talent agency, the singer has since launched his sophomore single, “Beautiful Day”, supported by a video clip directed by Jean-Michel Hua. The success of the single has led Tom Connan to drop a club remix version which has reached a stunning 500k views on YouTube. The video for this remix was directed by Abdel Cruz.
Yes, music is all subjective and everybody has an opinion, but I am a picky listener who is constantly in search of something that hits me in the spot, and for me, “Beautiful Day (Club Remix)” is simply perfect. Tom Connan and all of the resources he pulls together for his music, and especially this track simply works on many levels for me.
Through his music Connan expresses a whole lot of emotions a states of being – happy, sad, reflective, fun and at times a lushness that is a guilty pleasure. I’m a newcomer to this artist, and “Beautiful Day (Club Remix)” was a great introduction to his talents. If you are looking for a bit of a musical adventure, without the unpleasant surprises, I offer my highest recommendations here.
Tom Connan doesn’t do anything revolutionary other than take an earworm melody, uplifting and inspiring lyrics, and then mounts it atop an electronic soundscape that is loaded with exhilarating zest. The result is a mesmerizing, heartwarming, colorful, and an all-around enjoyable experience. It’s almost like a spiritual awakening in an electronic dance music format, which showcases great songwriting, more than competent musicianship, and impeccable production quality.
“Beautiful Day (Club Remix)” has a feel-good essence and will really make you want to jump up and groove with somebody. It is gorgeous, joyous music, and full of life. Connan likes to manipulate his music aesthetically. He makes sure that the sound is just right so that when you listen to it you drift away into a new space. Then, there is that other side of his music that makes you want to dance.
Once in a while you come across music that you feel relates to you and your situation in life and is kind of like a soundtrack for that phase. Tom Connan is very good at evoking emotion through his music. With “You Didn’t Give Them A Chance”, he sent out a very powerful message, now with “Beautiful Day (Club Remix)” he is igniting some passionately positive sentiments.
